Description
English: Lower part of the side wall of the cathedral in Syracuse, with bricked doors. Probably 7th century AD. Originally Athena's temple dating about 480 BC, at the site of an earlier (pre-Greek) Sicilian temple. Adjustments in the Norman period and the Baroque.
Čeština: Spodní část boční stěny katedrály v Syrakúsách, se zazděnými dveřmi. Původně Athénin chrám z 5. století před n. l. Zeď je asi ze 7. století n. l., asi se staršími částmi a pak zase s normanskou opravou. Možná přišla ještě barokní oprava po zemětřesení.
