English: Flanders Hall. Flanders Hall is (now) a large farmhouse near Foul End. History: Hugh de Flandres was the 3rd son of Gerard de Odingsells, Baron of Makerstoke (Maxstoke), Warwickshire, in right of his wife Basilia, daughter and heiress of "Geoffrey, Lord Lindsey, Baron of Makerstoke" (sic, Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.359, re: de Flanders (Gerard de Limesi)) tempore King Henry II
