Summary
[edit]DescriptionFlag of Moselle.svg |
English: Flag representing the Department of Moselle in France. The flag is quartered. The upper hoist canton depicts a hand, sword, and two pebbles from the coat of arms of Montigny-lès-Metz. The upper fly canton depicts the flag of Lorraine, with the three eagles offset. The lower hoist canton depicts fish and crosses, from the coat of arms of Bar-le-Duc, but with only four crosses and a pale blue. The lower fly canton depicts the lion and blue-and-white stripes from Luxembourg's coat of arms, but the blue is again paler, the stripes are uneven, and the lion's colorations are simplified. Emblazoned in the center is the coat of arms of Metz, and texts reading "DEPARTEMENT" and "MOSELLE" run along the top and bottom, respectively. |
