this is from the "young people" section of the crowd in the back, where they did another requirement of any protest, the flag burning. in this case, the flag was a pillow case with a crude drawing of the u.s. flag. they had some trouble lighting it, but this is after they got it going. it's hard to tell but the woman with the tan shirt to the right was dancing around to the beat of the drums (to the farther right). my impression of the protest, written the day after these photos were taken, including the flag burning, is here |
