Description
English: Fives tower, Bishop's Lydeard. In the car park of the Lethbridge Arms Inn, on Gore Square. "Probably late C18. Red sandstone random rubble and red brick flemish bond. Tower about 12 metres high, facade facing North, faced with brick, shaped gable of brick, slightly projecting angled, stepped wings, rear elevation of random rubble with central stepped buttress reaching to base of gable" - information at both https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1059211 and http://webapp1.somerset.gov.uk/her/details.asp?prn=40371 .
