Magyar: Fiume Szálloda. 1900-as évek eleje, Lánchíd utca 12., a Fiume szálló. Dittrichné Vajtai Zsuzsánna elmondása szerint gróf Széchenyi Ödön 1868-1870 között Varásdy Lipót és Frey Lajos tervei alapján egy négyszintes szállodát építtetett fel a telekre, amely eleinte Széchenyi nevet viselte. A hotel építőköveit Drasche Henrik téglagyára szolgáltatta. A népszerű szálló mind a 48 szobáját szecessziós mintájú kályhákkal szerelték fel. 1902-ben Reiprecht Alajos szálloda új tulajdonosa itt komponálta meg a budapesti nemzetközi szállodakongresszus indulóját. A hotelt 1910-ben először Corsóra, majd pedig Fiuméra nevezték át. Nemcsak a szálló, hanem az egész házsor, a Lánchíd utca páros, Duna felőli oldala elpusztult a 2. világháborúban. 1946-1948 között bontották le. Bár a volt Fiume Hotel pincerendszerét betemették, egy innen induló hosszú alagút még mindig jól karban van tartva, amely a Várszínház alagsorába fut be. |
