English: Arms of FitzHugh of Ravensworth Castle, North Yorkshire: Azure, three chevrons interlaced in base or a chief of the last. Baron FitzHugh, whose heiress married Parr. These arems were quartered by Queen Catherine Parr, and later by the Herbert family, Earls of Pembroke, who married the Parr heiress. They are visible in the Double Cube Room of Wilton Place, seat of the Herbert family, Earls of Pembroke. Also visible quartering Marmion (Vair, a fesse gules) and impaling Neville, in a stained glass window in Wath Church. This relates to the marriage of Henry FitzHugh, 5th Baron FitzHugh to Alice Neville, sister of Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick. |
