The rivers, streams, and lakes of Oregon and Washington are home to a diverse array of fish species and the BLM is committed to the restoration and protection of their aquatic habitat. Salmon and trout species found on BLM-managed lands include bull trout, westslope cutthroat trout, Yellowstone cutthroat trout, Lahontan cutthroat trout, redband trout, steelhead trout, and chinook and sockeye salmon. To find the best fishing spots in Oregon and Washington just head on over to: <a href="http://blm.gov/x5ld" rel="nofollow">blm.gov/x5ld</a> As long as you hold a valid State license, you may hunt, trap, and fish on BLM public lands in Oregon and Washington. You must comply with State license requirements and regulations for these activities. A BLM Special Recreation Permit may be required when providing a commercial service to the public in addition to a State license. Fishing and hunting are regulated by the States of Oregon and Washington Departments of Fish and Wildlife.
