Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Fishing off the sandbank at Point of Ayr The sand banks at Point of Ayr extend far out into the mouth of the River Dee, clearly showing why Chester declined as a port whilst Liverpool flourished. I believe the green marker buoy indicates the navigable channel and, as the tide has turned, the fishermen will soon be heading for shore. In the distance is the Wirral coastline.
