Description |
English: A group of native people, probably from British Columbia, set up a camp at Wing Point on the shore of Eagle Harbor in Puget Sound. They harvested clams and fish from Eagle Harbor and other nearby waters to sell to Seattle residents, and dried salmon to preserve it for later use.
In this photo, men and children stand near their plank houses and salmon drying racks at Wing Point.
