English: Trish Snyder, Hero’s Rock founder, reads a “Thank You” book at the Keesler Fisher House during a “Patriotic Pony” dedication ceremony Oct. 24, 2016, on Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. Hero’s Rock, a non-profit organization, dedicated the handmade pony in memory of 1st Lt. Michael Blassie, Jr., who was killed in action in Vietnam May 11, 1972. Since Sept. 1, 2016, Hero’s Rock delivered 18“Patriotic Ponies” to 12 Fisher House locations; with Keesler being the final stop.
