Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The first train arrives in Sutton, Ontario in 1877, along the newly constructed Lake Simcoe Junction Railway (LSJR). The line branched off the Toronto and Nipissing Railway (T&N) at Stouffville, about 45 km to the south. The LSJR was built at the same 3'6" narrow gauge as the T&N, leading to the narrow engines and cars seen in this image.
