Deutsch: Das erste Bahnhofsgebäude war eine Holzkonstruktion. Grundsteinlegung war am 11. März 1872. Streckeneröffnung von Istanbul nach Izmit am 1. August 1873. Architekt war vermutlich Giovanni Battista Barborini (*1820 in Cortemaggiore)
English: The first station building was a wooden structure. The foundation stone was laid on 11 March 1872. Opening of the line from Istanbul to Izmit on 1 August 1873. The architect was probably Giovanni Battista Barborini (*1820 in Cortemaggiore)
