Description
English: "William Osler with Johns Hopkins Hospital's first game of interns, in April of 1889. After much anticipation, the hospital opened its doors to the public in May. Osler acted as physician in chief at the hospital, which was intended as a center for medical education and research as well as treatment. H. A. Lafleur, Resident Physician, and J. A. Scott and Harry Toulmin, Assistant Residents, are also short in this photo.
