Description A 100-foot-long flatbed truck carrying the first of 12 giant gates for the new auxiliary spillway at Folsom Dam arrives at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Sunrise Boulevard in Sacramento, Calif., March 13, 2014, after a 600-mile journey from the Oregon Iron Works facility in Vancouver, Wash. The auxiliary spillway project is part of the Joint Federal Project, a $900-million cooperative effort to improve the safety of Folsom Dam and reduce flood risk for the Sacramento area.
