Description JOPLIN, Mo. -- Technicians from The Empire District Electric Company complete work on utility connections for FEMA modular houses at the Officer Jeff Taylor Memorial Acres temporary housing site here July 23. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers began work on the Memorial Acres and nearby Hope Haven sites July 5 and is on track to deliver 215 homes sites to FEMA before Aug. 17. The modular homes will accommodate residents displaced by the EF-5 tornado here May 22. (U.S. Army photo/Mark Haviland)
