Description
English: A fireman from RAF Shawbury fire and rescue department extinguishing flames on the station aircraft simulator. The simulator can be used to create many different aircraft fire scenarios in a controled environment

RAF Firefighters provide 24/7 fire and crash rescue protection. They are organised and trained to respond to any emergency with highly specialised equipment like powerful cutting tools.

RAF Crash Fre Rescue is one of the most aggressive firefighting disciplines requiring courage and professionalism. Firefighters form a component part of the operations element for Defence when operating both in the UK and overseas.
