Rückseite: GLADIVS DOMINI - SVP TERAM CITO ET VELOCITER [Trennungszeichen Dreieck]. Eine aus den Wolken kommende Hand hält ein Schwert über eine befestigte Stadt. Auf der linken Seite ein Turm. Kommentar: Guss, zweiseitig, oben gelocht. - Girolamo Savonarola (1452-1498) war Dominikanermönch und Bußprediger. Er wurde 1498 in Florenz auf dem Scheiterhaufen verbrannt. - Die Medaille wird Niccolò Fiorentino oder einem Medailleur zugeschrieben, der in seiner Art arbeitete. Literatur: L.
