English: An Honor Guard pays final tribute to Capt. Laurie Mosolino, Medical Corps, United States Navy, at Arlington National Cemetery. Mosolino provided care to thousands of patients and made profound and lasting contributions throughout the world during her career as a general surgeon. A champion in the fight against breast cancer for her patients, her personal battle against breast cancer began shortly after retirement. In her own words, she would prefer not to be remembered for any "heroic battle" with cancer, but rather for the children she raised and the love that she generated and shared with so many. |
