Deutsch: Vorderseite: PHILIPPVS - STROZA. Drapierte Büste des Filippo Strozzi nach links.
Rückseite: Adler bzw. Falke mit ausgebreiteten Flügeln auf Eichenzweig sitzend, der aus dem Wappenschild der Strozzi (drei Halbmonde) wächst. Baum- und Bodenbewuchs sowie herabfallende Federn (als Zeichen der Erneuerung des Vogels) im Hintergrund. Kommentar: In der Art des Niccolò Fiorentino. Der Vogel der Rs. wird bei Friedländer (1882), Hill (1930) und Börner (1997) als Adler, bei Pollard als (mißverstandener) Falke angesprochen. Es waren wohl Exemplare dieser Medaille ('certe medaglie'), die am 6. August 1489 in die Fundamente des Palazzo Strozzi eingebracht wurden. Vgl. Pollard (2007) 341 Anm. 2 mit Lit.; Hill (1930) 268. - Derselbe Filippo Stozzi ist auch dargestellt in dem Tonmodell (Inv. 1877/102, zuvor im Palazzo Strozzi in Florenz) einer Porträtbüste von Benedetto da Maiano aus dem Jahr 1475, welches sich im Besitz der Skulpturensammlung der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin befindet und im Bode-Museum Raum 122 ausgestellt ist.
