SCHOOL BUS SAFETY: Crash Data Trends and Federal and State Requirements

Note: FMVSS No. 220, which specifies school bus rollover protection requirements, and FMVSS No. 221, which specifies requirements for the strength of the body panel joints in the bodies of school buses, are two other standards that are specific to school buses. These vehicle standards are part of the 48 federal vehicle standards that apply to new school buses.
