Estimates of the number of jobs in non-STEM occupations have margins of error within plus or minus 0.2 percent of the estimate. With regard to the share of jobs in STEM occupations, the estimates havemargins of error within plus or minus 0.1 percentage points. With regard to the percentage change in employment levels between May 2004 and May 2012, the estimates shown in this figure have margins of error within 0.3 percentage points. The difference between STEM and non-STEM occupations in the percentage change in employment levels between May 2004 and May 2012 is statistically significant at the 95 percent confidence level. |
