Description
English: Ancient Roman statues in the Antiquarium del Palatino (Rome)
Italiano: Figura acroteriale, c.d. Aura, dagli scavi di Giacomo Boni (1919) durante la demolizione dei resti della Turris Iniquitatis (residuo delle fortificazioni Frangipani sul Palatino: nella torre era stato brevemente imprigionato papa Gelasio II nel 1118, ma il nome era rimasto.). La figura, inizialmente individuata come Nike, per la mancanza delle ali venne poi riletta come Aura, per il movimentato panneggio. Inv. 124697.
