Summary
[edit]DescriptionFighting Cocks road junction and lights - geograph.org.uk - 1119652.jpg |
English: Fighting Cocks road junction and lights Fighting Cocks junction looking toward Wolverhampton. In the 1940s and '50s, the white building on the corner at right was Marshall's green grocery shop. Next to it on the Dudley Road, was a cake shop and then was the news agents, also owned by Mr. Marshall. His residence was the green door to the right of the white. The brick building with the white framing over the street, was Rimmer's Chemist. The Fighting Cocks pub from which the junction takes its name, was off picture to the left. The low building at left with the little belfry thing on the roof, is the Goldthorn Social Club. |
