English: Field Marshal Montgomery Decorates Russian Generals at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin, Germany, 12 July 1945 The Deputy Supreme Commander in Chief of the Red Army, Marshal G Zhukov is invested as a Knight Grand Cross of the Order of the Bath by the Commander of the 21st Army Group, Field Marshal Sir Bernard Montgomery, watched by British Army Officers. Second from the right is Major General L O Lyne, Commander of the 7th Armoured Division. The ceremony took place at the Brandenburg Gate in Berlin and a Guard of Honour was formed by the 7th Armoured Division. |
