English: Field Lane, Sproatley, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. The rather uninspired road name presumably dates back to feudal times when the local farming community basically shared one big field. The road leads to a cottage with the equally inspired name of.... wait for it.... are you sure you're ready for this? Yes, you guessed it.... the cottage is called Field Cottage. Very down-to-earth folk around here you know. |
