Description
Svenska: Varje tillfälle till sömn togs tillvara under dalkarlarnas långa cykelmarsch. Här tar fänrik Ulf Welin en tupplur mot sin cykel i den mjuka västgötaljungen.
Skara (SvD:s utsände medarbetare). Västgötamanöverns tröttaste soldat bör rimligen finnas på Dalregementet från Falun, som måst tolka på cykel efter bilar 35–40 mil för att komma till "de här underliga trakterna". Ett marschpass var på 11 timmar i så gott som ett sträck och man har hela tiden varit tvungen att färdas på natten. Manöverns tröttaste soldat visade sig emellertid vara en vital och behärskad man som bara beklagade att den kolsoppa, som han just höll på att äta ur kokkärlet, var det första mål mat som kronan bjudit på under ett helt dygn.
