[edit]DescriptionFi 156C-1 USAF Museum side view.jpg | A former German Fieseler Fi 156C-1 Storch liasion plane now in the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force, Ohio (USA). The plane "5F+YK" belonged to the 2.(H)/Auf.Kl.Gr.14, a short-range reconaissance unit in North Africa. The museum's Fi 156 is painted as the Storch used by Field Marshal Erwin Rommel in North Africa. Built in 1940, it was exported to Sweden where it remained until 1948. It was donated to the Museum in 1974. |
