| Description |
English: Ffynnon Cyll Farm, Cyffig This farm has a long history and is mentioned in Major Francis's book, "Historic Carmarthenshire Homes". In 1830 until 1882 my great great grandparents were tenants of this 350 to 400 acres farm. They had their 9 children and 3 servants to help them run it. A re-built barn of 1851, out of shot on this photo, has a plaque with my great great grandfather's name (John Bowen) on it as the tenant at the time. The Welsh name means the well by the Hazel tree and some 100 yards higher up the track and directly facing Ffynnon Cyll, is a brand new and imposing building, built in the last few years, its name is Hazlewell farm.
