Die Veranstaltung war stark von nationalsozialistischer Propaganda geprägt und wurde von prominenten Parteiführern besucht, darunter Hermann Göring und Robert Ley. Souvenir-Postkarte gestempelt 22. Juli 1939, vermutlich einen Tag vor der Parade.

  • Text side of a picture postcard published as a souvenir from the Kraft durch Freude (KdF) festival held in Hamburg, Germany from July 20 to July 23, 1939. The event was heavily infused with Nazi propaganda and was attended by prominent party leaders, including Hermann Göring and Robert Ley. Postcard postmarked July 22, 1939, likely the day before the parade.
    • NS-Gemeinschaft (NSG) Kraft durch Freude (KdF), "Strength Through Joy", was a German state-operated leisure organization in Nazi Germany aimed at enhancing the well-being of the German working class through affordable leisure activities such as sports, cultural events, and holidays. The national assemblies were a series of annual events held by the KdF during the 1930s to promote the Nazi party's racist ideology of the superiority of the Aryan race, the importance of national unity, and to build a strong sense of national identity and loyalty among the German people and to Adolf Hitler as the leader of Germany.
