Description

English: The re-thinking happened in 1871 on what would later become the Terni-Sulmona railway line. The Pescara-Sulmona-L'Aquila section (shown in red) has now been built, but the L'Aquila-Rieti-Passo Corese continuation (dotted red line) is no longer envisaged; on the contrary, a Sulmona-Rome line (blue dotted line) is planned, which, once completed, will also absorb the Sulmona-Pescara stretch. Only the Sulmona-L'Aquila trunk remains of the initially planned line.
