Description
Italiano: Progetto iniziale (risalente al 1862) di quella che poi sarebbe diventata la linea ferroviaria Terni-Sulmona. Prevedeva il percorso Pescara-L'Aquila-Rieti-Passo Corese-Roma. Sono tratteggiate le due ipotesi di valico: Pellescritta e Sella di Corno.

English: Initial project (dating back to 1862) of what would later become the Terni-Sulmona railway line. It should have followed the route Pescara-L'Aquila-Rieti-Passo Corese-Rome. Two hypotheses were available to pass the Apennines Mountains, shown in dashed red: the Pellescritta pass and the Sella di Corno pass.

Correggo il tracciato in corrispondenza di Sulmona: il progetto iniziale non prevedeva di deviare verso la città, ma di seguire il corso del fiume Aterno, ai margini della conca Peligna (si veda la legge del 1865, che proprio per servire Sulmona prevedeva di costruire una diramazione "da Solmona all'incontro della linea da Popoli a Rieti"). Fu poi cambiato in fase di realizzazione su insistenza dei sulmonesi, avvicinandolo...
