Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This is fresh sample of ferrous chloride tetrahydrate, crystallized out from it's aqueous solution. The fresh, pure compound is green, as is seen here. But it soon starts to get oxidized by atmospheric oxygen if kept in open air, to brown ferric oxides, hydroxides and chlorides.
