Description
Español: Retrato del rey Fernando VII de España (1784-1833), vestido con uniforme de capitán general. Esta obra fue considerada hasta fechas recientes como de autor desconocido, aunque es una copia del taller de Vicente López del boceto original realizado por este ultimo y conservado en la colección Masaveu, que casi con toda seguridad fue realizado con destino al tercer y último modelo oficial para el retrato de Fernando VII que fue presentado por López Portaña a fin de que el monarca lo aprobase. Y aunque dicho modelo fue aprobado en sus líneas generales, el pintor se vio obligado a modificar algunos pequeños detalles, por lo que la postura del monarca y los elementos que sirven de adorno son idénticos a los empleados en el retrato del monarca firmado por el autor en 1834 y cuando ya había muerto el soberano, que se conserva en el Palacio de Buenavista, aunque el monarca aparece con uniforme de gala.
