English: Fenland thatch in Eastree, Cambridgeshire A by-road branches off north from the A605. It leads to a very popular range of carp lakes - the Decoy Fishery. On the left is a cottage, roofed in real Fenland thatch. A hundred years ago it would have been commonplace. Today it is a rarity. |
