Garden Catch 14/07/18 - Funny little moth Another stunner of a catch as we approach mid-July with 7 moths added to the ever growing year-list. What was made more spectacular was the garden first oddity that is Stathmopoda pedella, a moth I found a few day before whilst out walking in good numbers. To add it to the garden list was great. It certainly is an odd moth though, walking around on its elbows with projections from its legs and the only moth from the genus stathmopodidae represented here in the UK. Both Gelechia senticetella and Fen Wainscot were second records for the garden. Garden species count for 2018 now upto 367. Here are the new for year species.
