Heiliger Abend. [1943]
Mein geliebtes Muttl!
Nun ist es heiliger Abend, unsere Gemeinschaftsfeier ist zu Ende es war sehr schön. Jetzt sitz ich hier am Tisch mit anderen Kameraden und schreibe. Im Radio erklingt schöne deutsche Weihnachtsmusik jeder von uns ist mit seinen Gedanken bei seinen Lieben daheim und bei denen da draußen. Heute können wir erst ermeßen wie glücklich und dankbar wir sein müßen daß wir an diesen Abend geborgen sind. Das Christkind hatt uns dieses Jahr reich beschenkt und mir machte es Heute noch eine besondere große Freude denn es brachte mir durch die Post nach langer Zeit wieder einen lieben Brief von Dir. Jetzt liegt dieser Brief vor mir wie oft habe ich ihn schon durchgelesen und an Dich gedacht was Du wohl Heute machst [wie es Dir geht und wie Du diesen Abend verbringst?]
