Deutsch: Vorderseite: LUDOVICA ULRICA D G REGINA SVECIAE [Luise Ulrike von Gottes Gnaden Königin von Schweden]. Brustbild der Königin Luise Ulrike mit Diadem und perlengeschmücktem Haar nach rechts. Unten am Mantel die Medailleursignatur D F (Daniel Fehrman).

Rückseite: INGENIUM PRETIOSIUS AURO // MDCCLXII [Begabung ist kostbarer denn Gold 1762]. Minerva mit Speer steht an einem Webstuhl, dahinter der aufgespannte Stoff auf einer Staffelei, am Boden Garnrollen und Schiffchen. Im Abschnitt die Jahreszahl.

Kommentar: Luise Ulrike, die 1720 geborenen Schwester Friedrichs II. von Preußen, heiratete 1744 den schwedischen Thronfolger Adolf Friedrich und bestieg mit ihm 1751 den schwedischen Königsthron. Die schwedischen Preismedaillen wurden überwiegend im Auftrage des Hofes bzw. der Akademie ausgeprägt. Diese Medaille bezieht sich auf die Weberei in Drottningholm und wurde als Auszeichnung vergeben. Die Stempel der Preismedaillen wurden bis ins 20. Jahrhundert hinein benutzt.
