Summary

[edit]
Description

English: Stream Fehla, the last 9 km of the 15,5 km of its valley is a Naturschutzgebiet. From its karst spring at Burladingen it meanders through a peaceful valley, whose terrain is totally without roads; there is only a sandy path for pedestrians and bicycle drivers. The stream joins the Lauchert at Hettingen. The lower part of the protected valley is a deeply karstic area, where some water seeps into the underground to rise up again 13 km southwest in the strong karst spring “Gallusquelle”. Sections of turbulent water indicate the presence of small steps, which are accumulated, chemically precipitated limestone.
