Summary
[edit]DescriptionFehla NSG Kalktuffstufe Schwaebische-Alb.jpg |
English: Stream Fehla, the last 9 km of the 15,5 km of its valley is a Naturschutzgebiet. From its karst spring at Burladingen it meanders through a peaceful valley, whose terrain is totally without roads; there is only a sandy path for pedestrians and bicycle drivers. The rivulet joins the Lauchert at Hettingen. The lower part of the protected valley is a deeply karstic area, where some water sinks into the underground to rise up again 13 km southwest in the strong karst spring “Gallusquelle”. Sections of turbulent water indicate the presence of steps, which are accumulated, chemically precipitated limestone. |
