Description

S. Fay (image) and nearby Forty-Mile Point Lighthouse are dramatic and closely related aspects of the Thunder Bay area’s maritime cultural landscape. Taking on water amidst a violent October storm in 1905, the Fay’s captain drove the iron-ore-laden vessel ashore only 200 yards from the lighthouse.
