| Description |
English: Fast flowing drains feeding the River Itchen at Fallodon Fallodon seems to be the name of the woodland to the south (left) here. Although fed only by drains, according to the map, the water here was fast flowing. To prevent bank erosion, recent willow spilings can be seen on the right bank, and there was evidence of past attempts along the left bank. The water is also flowing through the sluice at right to an Itchen tributary at a slightly lower level. The latter seems to take water from the Itchen Navigation (canal) to the river. |
