Description

Faro de Monte Louro, Louro, Muros

El proyecto de este faro se redactó en 1860 y salió a subasta el 12 de abril del mismo año . Los trabajos se finalizaron en 1861.

Está situado en la Punta del Queixal del Monte Louro, a 82º E de la cúspide del mismo, en la embocadura de la ría de Muros.

Consiste en un pequeño edificio de planta rectangular de 11 x 10,20 metros la torre es troncopiramidal de sección exagonal y con una altura de 5,30 metros coronada por un balconcillo ligeramente volado sobre el que descansa el torreón cilíndrico que, a su vez, soporta la linterna poligonal de 1,60 metros de diámetro con cristales planos y montantes verticales.
