Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Farmland near Seighford airfield The small building is one of the few survivors of what were once over 300 structures associated with RAF Seighford.

The airfield was built in 1941 on 450 acres of farmland and was operational between 1942 and 1947 as home to 30 Operational Training Unit. The building is close to the site of one of the three farms that were razed to the ground to build the airfield.

The wood to the right is known as the Long Covert, the Gamesley Brook is in the trees in the distance.
