| Description |
English: Farmland near Farmcote, Shropshire. Taken with telephoto assistance, the cattle are about a quarter of a mile away (about four hundred metres). Following a long cold winter (nightly frosts persisted until just two days before this photo was taken) the spring growth of crops and grass is several weeks behind the usual for mid March. Greenness is only just beginning in some fields, and the rape crop in the foreground is many many weeks away from the dazzling yellow we all know and love! This 2007 image of fields to the south-west 392478 was only three weeks later. |
