Third prize was won by Mr. Paget withWharfedale Twinkle, a well grown gilt, not in herbest form and perhans a trifle heavy in the shoulde, sand showing a tendency to wrinkles. Mr. BeetonsWatford Grace, bred by tho Watford U.D.C., wasreserve and Mr. W. B. Hill, Mr. Page, and Mr. T.A. Stephens showe<l h.c. gilts, and Mr. J. H. Hol-land, who bred tho last, was commended with PeenoPeach. Mr. .John Chivers won fir.st and second prizes in a■^mall class of twelve months old gilts with HistonChoice 12th, which stood out from the others, andHiston Choice 13th, litter sisters, by Histon Wan-derer. Edwardss WyboetonAmy 11th was reserve. Mr. P. Smiths Bottesfordbred Belle of Stoke was h.c, and Sir Gilbert Green-alls Primrose of Tendring A, bred by Mr. Major,commended. Eighteen-month-old gilts wer« a nice class, thoughnot very tig. Mr. Haynes here took the red rosettewith Perfection of Caldmore, a big, well-grown youngsow, bred by Mr. White. Second prize went to Mr.Wherry for Bourne Beauty, a long, level sow of nicequality with good hams, but not quite the scale ofthe leader.
