Summary
[edit]DescriptionFarm track off Station Lane - geograph.org.uk - 695527.jpg |
English: Farm track off Station Lane This track used to be part of the yard at Waltham Station on the GNR Waltham branch of the mineral railway network in this region. According to Colin Aldworth who has researched the local railways and associated iron ore transit routes, this was a road leading to a weigh bridge at the station. See http://www.nottm-melton-railway.co.uk/c17/page269.htm Waltham Station, now a private house and boarding kennels is off to the left on the other side of the old track. |
