[edit]DescriptionFarm track crossing dismantled railway trackbed - geograph.org.uk - 1319340.jpg |
English: Farm track crossing dismantled railway trackbed. The trees and shrubs seen here are marked as a strip woodland on OS maps. They grow in a long since closed section which once served the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway. The line ran from Melton Constable to North Walsham between Corpusty > 1257408 and Aylsham North > 1290565. The line opened in the late 19th century and closed again in 1916. This short section of dismantled and overgrown trackbed is situated just northeast of the former Bluestone station > 1319237. |
