English: Faringdon former railway station, 1992. View NE of the former terminus of the ex-GWR branch from Uffington (to the right). The passenger service had ended on 31/12/51, but goods not until 1/7/63. The building was probably not yet occupied by a nursery (cf. SU2895 : The Old Station Nursery, Park Road of 2010), but why the Union Jack? |
