Summary
[edit]DescriptionFan Qin - 5296169392.jpg |
English: In China, there was a stage when the "great and the good" collected books and stored them in private libraries.
Fan Qin was one such person. His library had 70,000 books at one stage. Then the British came along during the "First Opium Wars" and helped ourselves to up to 57,000 of the best books. Not our finest hour I don't think. |
